Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd Al-Awfar “3Xtra Drive 2017” campaign has been running since April 2017 and will run for another four months up to 31 December 2017 where the grand prizes are three units of AUDI A4 Sedan 2.0 TFSI. 

This campaign has made it possible for Bank Islam to successfully garner more than 55,000 new Al-Awfar accounts and over RM242 million growth for the second quarter of 2017. This campaign has successfully contributed almost 40% of the year’s Al-Awfar growth. 

The campaign road show is making its way around the nation where the Bank is bringing its counter service to customers and potential customers and they may open an account and get rewarded at one of the many hypermarkets or shopping complexes where the road shows are taking place. 

The road show period will be up to 3 December 2017, visiting places such as, Mydin Meru, AEON Mall Kota Bharu, Melawati Mall, Queensbay Mall, IOI City Mall, The Curve and Mydin USJ, among others. 

The nationwide road show is targeted to engage the public about the campaign and to create awareness on the importance of investment for future benefits. 

Some of the activities during the road show will be colouring contests for Kindergarten and Primary School children, onsite account openings and debit card issuance, AUDI A4 Sedan 2.0 TFSI car display, prizing giving ceremony for Quarter 2 and Quarter 3 for Al-Awfar “3Xtra Drive 2017” Campaign and RM1 million quarterly draw for Al-Awfar at selected locations. 

This campaign’s mechanism differs from all previous campaigns where not only it takes into account the amount of investment placed, but it also provides different eligibility unit (EU) depending on the month investment is placed and the retention period of the investment.

This provides higher chances for new and existing account holders in winning the grand prizes. On the same note, this mechanism was developed to promote loyalty throughout the campaign period. With only a minimum placement of RM1,000, the participants are also eligible for the monthly, regional and quarterly draw worth more than RM9 million cash prizes in a year, on top of the three grand prizes for this campaign.
